The Colchester Business Lunch Club is an informal club that meets throughout the year on the first Monday of each month (unless it is a bank holiday, in which case it is deferred to the following Monday). The purpose of the Club is to promote social contact between principals and decision makers in business and professions in and around Colchester.

The Club members meet for lunch enabling informal networking and the building of long term business relationships.  Click here for details about membership. The Club uses a variety of different restaurants in and around Colchester and meets at 12.30pm for 12.45 pm and aims to have the lunch concluded by 2.00pm. The cost of each lunch depends on the venue and ranges from £14 to £30. With some venues there may be a set menu and with others there may be a choice. We usually have two courses and sometimes there may be a drink or tea and coffee included. Click here for a list of previous venues.

The Club has a small committee that arranges the lunches, organises the bookings and looks out for new venues. Click here for the next lunch and details of how to attend.

History

Colchester Business Lunch Club was formed some 25 years ago by Jack Merrill, an erstwhile manager of Lloyds Bank in Colchester, and the late Jim Porter of Thompson Smith and Puxon.  We usually have between 35 and 60 people attending each lunch, depending upon the time of the year, the venue and so on.
